Yes I reckon there is conflict: BUT....... who's conflict is it. Maybe if we just say 'school is baby sitting' and learning is something different we could get somewhere. People let themselves be undermined so easily.
It makes me think of a young boy (grade 2) that I recently met. On one Friday after school he held a knife to his chest and said "If I have to go home I will stab myself" One of the teachers said "Oh no - I could have been stabbed" She didnt even look beyond herself to see this boys suffering - didnt even look to see how she could help him. Just thought about herself.
The web is no place for those who 'just think about themselves' - it is for connecting - not building walls. I reckon this creates conflict.
